Carp
A colleague sent me this picture of her nephew and a carp in the middle of a field far from any body of water. She does not know how the carp got there. The picture was taken south of Rensselaer.
Would this photo make a good "caption-this" contest?
According to Mike Kingman, former Jasper Co. Surveyor, he has seen this many times - they swim through the tiles and come out through a breakdown in the tile.
This carp was pulled out of Vince Urbano's pond due to winter kill. He pulled him into the field to fertilize the soil along with over a hundred other fish, mostly bass and bluegill. That was the only carp in the pond.
Hmmm, the legal limit is one... Which should I release?
