On Saturday morning I stopped by St. Augustine's Church to help clean up from the Birthright rummage sale and noticed a lot of cars in the parking lot. I checked out the St. Augustine School gym to see what was going on and found that the pinewood derby had just finished up. There were even some kids carrying trophies around. The track was impressive--it says that dad's take this race pretty seriously.
I did not take any pictures of rummage clean up. It went fast. Here is what the basement looked like on Friday morning before the sale began.
This year my goal is to reduce the amount of stuff that I have, so it was definitely better to give than to receive.
Funny... you are right... dad's take the Pinewood derby verry seriously. Usually morte than the kids. Many scout packs have an open class at their derby race so that dad can have a car.
