A musical 5K

On Saturday the fourth annual  4th Annual Chloe K 5k Run/Rock/Ride for Autism Research started at 8:00. Over 200 runners and walkers participated, up from less than 140 last year. The course for this race begins west of Monnett School and goes north to Washington, then west to Sparling, then south to a turnaround near College Woods, then back on Sparling until Emmett, at which point the runners head back to Monnett. With over 200 participants, this has become the largest 5K in Rensselaer.

The most interesting feature of the race was that there was live music along the route. Two guitarists and a bit of the Tri-County High School band played. I had a camera that does video, so I took some pictures. You can get a bit of the flavor of the race from it.

The results of the race are at www.jeffrayburn.com/results-2010. Only 176 of those registered seemed to have finished.

Update: Old guys sometimes finish first.
