Like many people in Rensselaer, I have been watching progress on the remodeling at the new Verizon store. Even on Memorial Day there was work going on, but I thought that they were still a week away from opening. However, they made their June 1 deadline--yesterday morning the store was open.
I was impressed with what I saw inside--they did an excellent job remodeling the place. Notice part of the check mark on the wall and another embedded in the floor tiles. The Verizon logo is a check mark.
There are two desks for sales representatives plus a customer service desk. They will be adding another desk on the other side of the room.
I learned that Verizon sells service plans for both Dish and Direct TV. And although the inside looks great, there is obviously still some work to do on the outside. The windows are not quite finished, some electrical work needs to be done, and the main sign needs to be put up.
A few hours later an inflatable Verizon figure was drawing attention to their new store.
