Water main and a closed road
When the city began pumping from the new water well north of town, it lowered the water level for some of the houses in the area, all of which had their own wells. So now the city is putting in a water line to supply those houses. The photo below shows early construction just west of the highway, north of the John Deere dealership.
At least during working hours, Wood Road will be impassible for a few days, and then Owen Street may not always be drivable. The city says construction will last four to eight weeks.

Will those folks have to pay for their new water source?
