Back in Rensselaer
If you are wondering when there will be some posts about the Jasper County Fair, the answer is that there will be none. I was out of town for the past week, and I missed the fair. By the way, how was it? I also missed the river float, which I really wanted to do. Did it go? And if it did, how was it? The one thing that I did not miss was a week of miserably hot weather. It was much cooler where I was. However, I expect that we will see more miserably hot days before the summer is over.
I have a lot of pictures and some interesting adventures to share, some of which I can even give a Rensselaer connection to, but I need to find the time to sort through pictures and to write. There are a lot of loose ends after a week away from home.

Glad you are back.
It was so hot the week of the fair...it wasn't even fun. We only stayed for less then an hour.
The fair was good. If they didn't air condition the exhibit hall, the ears of corn that were displayed would have popped!
The fair was spectacular - beautiful projects and great vendors. Friendly folks. Felt badly for the hot animals, though - especially the ones that died.
