This summer the Rensselaer Program of Church Music and Liturgy (the graduate summer program in music at SJC) scheduled four performances that were part of requirements for students finishing their masters degrees. On Wednesday I caught the third of the four, a liturgy of the stations of the cross. It was a bit different from the usual stations of the cross--there were 15 rather than 14, and some of the traditional stations were replaced.
This year the traditional end-of-the-year concert will not be held at SJC but in Chicago. However, there is one more of the student performance/prayer events left, on Wednesday, Jul 27, 8:00 in the chapel, "Dia de los Muertos Ofrendas: An Offering Embodied in an Altar of Remembrance."
