Northern House of Prayer at the Ritz
It has been a while since I have had a Sunday post on a church, but a week or two ago I noticed what seems to be a new church in Rensselaer, the Northern House of Prayer. It has its Sunday services at the Ritz Theater in downtown Rensselaer.
The Northern House of Prayer is not listed yet in the weekly church directory of the Rensselaer Republican and I could not find an Internet presence. The small sign that is hard to read in the picture above says that the pastor is Mac Howard and services are at 10:00 am on Sunday.

This church has actually been meeting at The Ritz for a couple of years. Their attendance it steadily growing. If you don't feel comfortable at a traditional church, this is the place to go. It's very welcoming to everyone.
The church was started (if I have my facts straight) as a "bikers" church. In fact, there were at least 2 there on Christmas day.
If my facts are correct, Mac(k) Howard is the minister there. If you met him in a dark alley, saving your soul would be the LAST thing you thought of when you first saw him. He is big, burly and has a heart for God as well as a heart of gold.
