I have always expected a pre-fab house to be installed on the foundations north of the five corner intersection of Clark-College-VanRensselaer. But the arrival of stacks of lumber and other building supplies suggests that the duplex will be built on site.
The very rapid progress continues on the Tractor Supply building. This week workers have put down the foundation for the entry road and parking lot and have piled roofing materials on the top of the building. They are still moving a lot of dirt.
The construction of the Court House roof is almost finished. There are just a few white patches visible on the north west side. Usually they started at the bottom and worked their way to the top, so I do not know why the unfinished bits are at the bottom of the roof.
One of Rensselaer's newest businesses, Rich's Cycle Solutions, is undergoing a facelift. I stopped in to see what they were doing and met one of the owners. He previously worked for Charlie Robert's Auto Center and is a certified auto mechanic. Although he works as a car mechanic, but his true love is motorcycles. Right now he does not offer new motorcycles, but would like to in the future.
Here is his sign with contact information.
