Mural week: Thursday update.

Three more murals have been finished and signed.

I stopped by this morning and asked Max Sansing when he was going to finish. He told me that he just had finished and was ready to sign.

The finished signature.
In the afternoon he was making his contribution to the mural on the bank wall. This will be a collaborative effort, with many or most of the artists making a contribution.
A third artist who finished up and signed was Nick Smith.

Two murals just got started. On the north end suburban warrior was doing a scene with a firefly. She is from suburban Chicago and knows Allison Bamcat. She was not on the list of prospective artists, but asked if she could come and paint.
In the other alley, the artist that goes by FASM has started on the old carriage house wall.
At the other end of that alley, Caesar Perez is putting finishing touches on his chess queen. He thought he might be done today. He has another commission, from the Chicago Blackhawks who wanted him to work this weekend. He told them that he  could not do that. He needs to take a break to recover from the paint fumes and the heat. Many of the artists have commented on the heat and humidity.

This afternoon Allison Bamcat was painting the beak of the ibis. She waited to start until the wall was in the shade.
The artist known as Pawn was working on the hornet. I am not sure what the circle is.
Mr Toledo still has a bird and vegetation to finish.
I still have not talked to Ricky Watts and it looks like he is almost finished.
People can now see what the mural by Alex Ann Allen is about.
In the afternoon I noticed a drone taking pictures.
The person operating the drone is from local219, a website in northernwestern Indiana. I had never heard of it, but he told me that they cooperate with the NWI Times. Here is the website

As I left this afternoon, he was interviewing Cameron Moberg.
If the drone footage gets posted and I can find it, I will link to it.
