Labor Day 2015
If Labor Day is the end of summer, the summer of 2015 has gone out like a lion. The temperature was above 90 degrees and the dew point was in the 70s. The weather forecasters say that we will get relief in a day or two.
There are a couple of new businesses opening downtown. Tomorrow Ayda's will open in their new location at 10:00 am. The owners have been busy this weekend moving from their old location to their new one. They have mostly painted the exterior and have their sign installed.
The space most recently occupied by Ardent Papers Photography will soon be home to a spray-on tanning boutique. Over the weekend there were people in the shop getting it ready.
The name is Healthy Glow Spray Tanning. It will open for business on September 10. Here is their Facebook page and here is their website. From the Facebook page it appears that the business has been operating for some time without an office space.
There are beams rising at the new fire station.
Campaign signs are now appearing around town for the city election in November. I believe there is a rule restricting the signs to two months before the election.
And for something completely unrelated to anything on this blog, my son reposted this video on FaceBook. It should humiliate anyone who thinks they are skillful on a bike.
