Races
The Little Cousin Jasper Festival had a 5K this morning. I was sure that Captain America (on the far left in the picture) would win, but my faith in super heroes suffered a terrible blow. The mysterious man in black next to him won.
There were many more runners at the high school where the annual Rensselaer High School Cross Country Invitational was taking place. What is unusual about this invitational is that the races are run by grade. There were scores of runners in the race for the sixth grade girls.
At the end a Rensselaer runner ran away with the race, beating the 2nd place finisher by about fifty yards.
More about Little Cousin Jasper and the parade later.
