A favorite place
The new exhibit at the Fendig Gallery features original art created by Jasper County Art League members. It has about 80 items from about 25 artists.
Each year the Jasper County Art League has an exhibit with a theme. This year's theme is "A Favorite Place." It is a theme that allows a wide variety of subjects to be included. Below is a piece of fiber art titled "My Backyard in Winter."
Mojkit Lake is the title of the painting below.
You should recognize the place this painting is illustrating.
Unlike the picture above, the picture below shows something far away from Rensselaer. It is titled "The Mannheim Fountain in Germany".
"Launch of the Shirley B" does not sound like a place.
The gallery is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon until 4:00. The show runs until October 31.
The reception for the show was held on October 4 and had a good turnout.
