Santa's Village 2009

On Saturday the Chamber of Commerce organized this year's version of Santa's Village. Last year it was held at the fire station, but this year it was at the armory. There was a reasonably good attendence.

The big Christmas duck was there to greet (or terrify) youngsters. (Whose mascot is the duck? I probably should know that.)

The radio station was there, as was a Santa posing for pictures with people and listening to non-negotiable demands from children. The Youth Center on Sparling had a table where kids could draw and do other crafty things. I looked for the post office table, but did not see it. Hazeldon Golf Course had a putting green that the kids enjoyed.

They had advertised cookies and made good on the promise.

There was a stage for performances and some people waiting for something to happen, but nothing happened while I was there. Some choral groups from the high school were on the program.

My apologies to all the other people who were there and whom I ignored.

Update: Lots of pictures here.
