Art Show
The first art show of 2010 is now on display in the Fendig Gallery of the Carnegie Center. It is titled 'Homecoming."
Works of three artists are on display. All, as the show title suggests, have links to Rensselaer. Linsey Hitchings grew up in Rensselaer and graduated from Purdue with a degree in art education. Adam Wollenberg also grew up in Rensselaer and will graduate this spring from the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis with a degree in printmaking. Ryan Preston will graduate from Saint Joseph's College this spring with a degree in art education.
The show is fairly short, closing January 29.
The pot above, "Three Figure Vase" is by Ryan Preston, and the sculpture below, "Spiralism," is by Lindsey Hitchings.
If you go, be careful not to step on this piece. It is on the floor.

I hear this show will be extended until February 12th. It is a fine show and reflects well on the art departments at RCHS and SJC.
