This building in Morocco, on the corner of Clay and Washington, was once a Baptist church. According to the Newton County Interim Report, it was built in 1900 in the NeoClassical style and deserves to be rated as "notable." It has bears the marks of change--one can see where windows were once on the upper floor.
The congregation that was once here probably is now at the United Church. As for the building, it became a fire station and the round windows say something about volunteer firemen's association, but I cannot make out the first word.
The building is now used for storage.
