A leisurely ride in the country

On Saturday I took a leisurely bike ride out to see how construction on the Taco Bell was progressing. I expected it to be further along. It does look like a parking lot is being dug out west of the building.

On the way out I noticed a colorful caterpillar. It is the worm of a well know and much beloved butterfly. Do you recognize what it is?

On the way back I was able to take a picture of a common Indiana butterfly, but I had to look it up for an identification.
