Amen. Thank you Jasper Foundation for putting to rest a long running problem in Rensselaer.
My question is, who else had really shown interest in that property? Especially, at that price? I honestly do not think the School Corp could have found anyone else to come close to that price. It is nice to help the kids, but it is the JASPER Foundation allocating the funding and not the RENSSELAER foundation. So, will there be similar donations for Remington, Wheatfield, and DeMotte? I think it is great for the kids, but we need to consider the funding source, unless it was money bequeathed by an individual for projects just like this. If so, kudos to that individual and the Foundation might want to make mention of that so others like me do not raise similar questions.
